Feasting for FEAST September 29th!

FEAST makes our garden program at Hall Fletcher possible. Enjoy an evening showcasing food and drinks from 20 local restaurants — all for great cause benefiting Asheville kids!

The mission of FEAST is to empower youth and families to grow, prepare and enjoy fruits and vegetables through hands on cooking and gardening education.

This annual fundraising event has raised over $69,000 for our organization and allowed us to expand our program to serve 1500 children annually. Please join us for the 6th Annual Feasting for FEAST fundraising event, it is sure to be a delicious evening!

Chess Club Update

Dear Hall Fletcher Families/ ¡Queridas Las Familias de Hall Fletcher!

There have been some changes to our Chess Club!
Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20th, Chess Club will be led by parent-volunteers. It will also be FREE! If you have submitted a check for registration for Chess Club, it will be returned to you this week. Chess Club will be one hour of open play every Tuesday from 3-4 in the Makerspace. All grade levels are welcome! We hope to incorporate guest coaches and speakers over the course of the school year. If you are interested in being a Chess Club parent volunteer or coordinator, please come to Makerspace tomorrow from 3-4. Please note that all parent volunteers must have a completed and cleared background check. Thank you!

A partir de mañana 20 Martes, Septiembre, Club de Ajedrez será dirigido por los padres voluntarios. También será GRATIS! Si ha enviado un cheque de inscripción para el Club de Ajedrez, que se devolverá esta semana. Club de Ajedrez será de una hora de juego abierta todos los martes de 3-4 en la Makerspace. ¡Todos los grados son bienvenidos! School Supply Drive for Louisiana!

Hall Fletcher Elementary is holding a School Supply Drive for Greenbrier Elementary School in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They have completely lost their school to the floods and are moving into an old school until their school can be restored. School supplies can be dropped off in the main office at 60 Ridgelawn Avenue through September 9th. We are collecting: Pencils, erasers, crayons, paper, eraser tops, glue, paper towels, and kleenex. Thank you!
