What’s Happening at HFE This Week?

Tuesday, September 15, All day. 1st Graders go on a field trip to Colburn Earth Science Museum. Rock out, guys!

Tuesday, September 15, 5p – 6:30p. PTO General Meeting. HFE Media Center. Everyone welcome! Free dinner (starting at 5p), childcare, and Spanish translation provided.

We’ll have two guest speakers with information on Read to Succeed and the Asheville City Schools Foundation. Dr. Grant will give us an update on the progress of the Outdoor Learning Center and the recently published school grade (time for discussion will be provided). We’ll wrap up with committee/project updates, including a wonderfully exciting calendar of events, and open mic time.

Friday, September 18. All day. No school! This Required Professional Workday for teachers leads us into our Fall Intersession which runs from September 21 – October 9 (October 5 – 9 dedicated to Bonus Learning Time).
